‘Soaring Together’ celebrates Upper Coomera as a place of gathering and transition. The Great Egret, a native inhabitant of the Coomera River, is captured in the powerful moment of taking flight – representing Upper Coomera as a place where nature and community intertwine, and people from different cultures land, gather, and take flight on new journeys.
The design uses geometric shapes and a cool-toned palette inspired by the nearby river and coastal landscape. Within these forms, tonal patterns draw inspiration from the artist's heritage and connection to culture.
Soaring Together was commissioned by Woolworths in their development of the new Upper Coomera Neighbourhood Centre.
