About the Artist
Sarah Beetson is a British-born illustrator and artist based in Australia, holding a 1st in Illustration from Falmouth University and early professional fashion industry experience in London with Mary Portas, POP Magazine and Stella McCartney. She has established an international freelance illustration career, working with clients including Penguin Books, Netflix, the British Fashion Council and National Geographic, and is a talent scout for the global agency IllustrationX. Her work has been widely exhibited across Europe, North America and Australasia, and recognised through multiple industry awards and books. Beetson’s practice, grounded in hand-rendered painting and drawing, has evolved from engagements with contemporary culture toward a sustained exploration of the natural world, particularly floral subjects. Recent bodies of work reflect personal and place-based narratives, including responses to motherhood and to the cultural landscape of South East Queensland, where she is now based.
