Elisha Oatley Escreet is a Gold Coast pop artist, illustrator, and muralist working under the name Hues of Happy. Through playful illustration and vibrant colour palettes, her work explores complex social issues with humour, optimism, and accessibility. Holding a Bachelor of Creative Industries and a Master of Business, she has exhibited in thirteen exhibitions and created public murals across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. In 2026, Elisha is undertaking, an Artist in Residence at ARUGA PR, and is developing a large-scale immersive installation for HOTA’s Kids Take Over. She is currently a resident artist with Creative Spaces, City of Gold Coast.

About the Artist
Elisha Oatley Escreet is a Gold Coast based pop artist, illustrator, and creative producer behind Hues of Happy. Her practice transforms familiar, everyday objects into playful yet thought provoking artworks that invite connection, reflection, and shared moments of joy. Holding an undergraduate degree in Creative Industries and a Master’s in Business, Elisha combines strong creative vision with strategic planning and project management, allowing her to deliver ambitious, community focused projects at scale. Over the past five years, Elisha has participated in thirteen exhibitions, created murals across Miami and Surfers Paradise, illustrated for businesses, and worked as a guest artist for HOTA’s Pop Masters exhibition. She is an active ambassador for Art Roll and the founder of the Hues of Happy Artist Markets in partnership with Balter Brewery. In 2026, Elisha will present a large scale installation at HOTA for Kids Take Over, serve as artist in residence at ARUGA with a focus on mural production,. Her work demonstrates a strong capacity to deliver innovative, inclusive public art experiences that balance playfulness with meaning and reflect the optimism and creative energy of the Gold Coast.
