About the Artist
George Goodnow is a multidisciplinary artist based in Naarm (Melbourne). Their practice ranges from painting and public murals, to sculpture and site-specific installations. By fabricating fictional architectures and objects, or adjusting existing architectures, George considers how spaces reflect, orientate and hold bodies. Their recent work explores themes of gender, binaries and queerness, by investigating relationships to urban built environments. George has produced public art projects with Collingwood Yards, SIGNAL, Ki Smith Gallery New York, AMBUSH Gallery and many local councils. Their work has also been featured at Something Unlimited Festival, Art Not Apart, Sydney Sexual Health Centre, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Wollongong Art Gallery and Platform Arts in Geelong.
