Responding to the regional themes, stories and natural landscapes of the waterway area, mural artist Kiel Tillman chose the creative direction that brought together native flora, flowing water lines and a Little Pied Cormorant—a water bird often found in the area.
Combining these elements with a vibrant coral pink base colour, the once bland pump station was turned into an art piece that the locals have come to love.
Water Walls is a local initiative curated by Creative Road, bringing together mural artists from the Gold Coast regions to produce nine urban artworks installed across public water & waste infrastructure.
