Ongoing development of the Student Hub manifested as an outdoor mural activation on the office street-front and concrete flooring. It was custom designed to increase street appeal, improve pedestrian experience, reinvigorate the Student Hub outdoor event space and establish a strong sense of place for new and returning visitors. The finished artwork complements the hardwood screen features, flowing across the concrete floor over to the street-front.
This creative element also featured a community engagement opportunity with Griffith University design students, who expressed interest in mural design, public art and learning about the real careers in the creative industries. The Hub continues to be a space for students, created by students.
This public art activation was directed by Emma van Zaane and produced by the Art-Work team to align with the Student Hub’s second birthday.
