Cooly Memories by Kiel Tillman is a vibrant tribute to the laid-back spirit and nostalgia of Coolangatta, capturing the feeling of a perfect day spent by the sea. Designed as a collage of souvenirs and snapshots, the mural brings together objects and memories that reflect the town’s character, from vintage postcards and ticket stubs to bright bikinis, fresh-cut mangoes, and classic coastal imagery. These playful elements reference both personal holiday mementos and the shared history of the area, evoking sun-soaked beach days, road trips, dance halls, and the simple pleasures that have drawn people to Coolangatta for generations. Blending past and present, the mural celebrates the stories, experiences, and enduring charm that continue to shape this much-loved seaside town.
